2008 TOUR OF MISSOURI
ROUTE
The route for the 2008 Tour of Missouri professional
bike race has been announced. The 623-mile race will begin
September 8 in the Northwest Missouri city of St. Joseph,
with Stage 1 taking riders 90 miles from the launching
place of the Pony Express to the state's second-largest

from last year, a 125-mile trek from Clinton to
Springfield, as will Stage 3, an 18-mile time trial in the
Ozark Mountains surrounding Branson. Stage 4 will run 105
miles from Lebanon to Rolla, a runner-up city last year.
From there, riders will make a short trip to the Stage 5
launching point at St. James, where they will begin a
110-mile trip to Jefferson City. Stage 6 will take riders
through Missouri Wine Country on a 110-mile scenic ride
from Hermann to St. Charles. The final day of the race will
include a 75-mile Sunday afternoon circuit of St. Louis.
