An outdoors enthusiast, Baird publishes Women's Outdoor News that features news, reviews and stories about women outdoors. At that publication, she blogs as Babbs in the Woods. She also contributes to Kenn Blanchard’s Urban Shooter Podcast—with updates about women and guns weekly. Her bylines have appeared in America’s 1st Freedom, Fly Fisherman, AAA publications, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Columbia (Mo.) Tribune, Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader, SHOT Business, GunUp.com and a host of other magazines and newspapers.
When not looking for the next story, she can be found fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, shooting or whomping up a wild game meal. Barbara and her husband, Jason, teach NRA handgun courses at their local range near Rolla. See www.sheshoots2.com.
Barbara is a member of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association. She is delighted to be included on the Proís Hunting Apparel’s pro staff. She’s also mom to four grown kids, a Camo Gramma to twin baby girls and mother-in-law to two lovely daughters-in-law (who hunt and fish) and a son-in-law who is studying to be a wildlife biologist.
